Get to Know IHO

Who We Are

We are a UN-accredited nonprofit organisation based in Antigua & Barbuda, operating locally and across the wider Caribbean. We advance climate, gender and health justice while supporting women, youth, and vulnerable groups. Over 300 volunteers join us each year, driving our initiatives forward and ensuring lasting impact. We were founded in 2013.

What We Do

Our work spans critical areas such as gender-based violence, empowering vulnerable women economically, supporting community adaptation to climate change, and conserving biodiversity and protected areas. We have worked to promote mental health and disaster resilience. For over a decade, IHO has transformed lives and communities.

Structure & Governance

Integrated Health Outreach is a registered nonprofit company under the laws of Antigua and Barbuda, company no. C192/13. We are overseen by a Board of Directors who are unpaid, and we are led day-to-day by an Executive Director. We are committed to sound governance and transparency.

A message from our President

Welcome!

It’s a pleasure to welcome you to our community. At Integrated Health Outreach, we are passionate about the work we do—empowering women, strengthening communities, improving accountability, and protecting our region's rich biodiversity. Every step we take is driven by the hope of creating a better, more sustainable future for everyone—one that has gender equality and climate justice at its core.

As a former Director of the Community Development Division in Antigua and Barbuda, I know how vital the work of civil society is to achieving sustainable development for our people. That is why I am proud of the work we do at IHO, standing with communities, mobilising for justice, sustainability, and lasting change. Thank you for visiting and for supporting this meaningful journey with us.

A. Brenda Thomas-Odlum | President

Our Vision & Mission

Vision

Mission

Mission

We envision a just and sustainable Antigua and Barbuda, and Caribbean region, where all people—especially women, girls, and marginalised communities—live with dignity, safety, and power. Guided by intersectional justice and collective care, we see a future shaped by gender equity, climate resilience, and community leadership across our islands and we are committed to working toward this future with shared prosperity for all.

Mission

Mission

Mission

Our mission is to advance gender, climate and health justice by empowering women and vulnerable communities while fostering sustainable solutions. We champion intersectional approaches across four key areas —gender equality, ecology, youth, and community—recognising how overlapping forms of inequality affect women, girls, and vulnerable communities. Rooted in the lived experiences of Caribbean people, we amplify local leadership, challenge systems of oppression, strengthen climate resilience, and build sustainable futures.
