The goal of the project is to advance women’s mental health through the development and dissemination of knowledge products designed for Caribbean women and community-based/peer-supported mental health education and sensitisation for the strengthened psychosocial wellbeing of women in Antigua and Barbuda.
This project will address this mental health gender gap by strengthening women’s capacity through:
- Knowledge products designed for Caribbean women and to support low SES, marginalised and vulnerable women.
- A community-based and peer-supported mental health approach that empowers women to lead the way through a trainer-training method.
Accompanying this project is a full Adult Social-Emotional Learning Programme (A-SELF). The trainer-training programme is designed to support women’s mental health through peer-based education.
